Hi, I’m Alyssa!

I’m a neurodivergent homemaker and entrepreneur helping women get their (peach) pit together so they can love their homes! As someone who was diagnosed in adulthood, I know how complicated organizing can feel when the systems you’ve been taught to use don’t work well for your brain. Luckily, the problem wasn’t me, it was my systems! Everyone has an intuitive method they like to use when they organize. Using new methods, I found the systems that work for me—and once my mom started calling me to ask for advice, I knew these methods were too good to keep to myself. Now, I spend my days giving other women like me the personalized systems they need to create easy, logical, and realistic organization for themselves. I don’t want you to organize just like I do. I want you to organize just like YOU do, only better. Because we all deserve a little more peace in our homes, right? And intuitive organization is how we get there.

The driving idea behind this method relies on being aware of how much energy we have to spend and the places we’re spending it. Without noticing, it’s so easy to spend all of our physical, mental, and emotional energy on the little annoyances throughout the day, and then by the time we need to start making supper, we have nothing left. Before I began organizing myself and my kitchen using this method, I was getting to the evening time and turning into a grumpy, irritable person I didn’t like very much, and I certainly didn’t like the way I was treating my family. I wanted to feel better! So I asked myself, why do I feel so bad? And the answer was obvious. I was tired. Capital-T, tired. Exhausted. I was reaching supper time and finding that I had nothing left to give. So I spent too much money on takeout… and my family, my budget, and my health took the hit.

With this method, I’ve removed a huge number of those tiny annoyances I was spending all my energy on. Since I have energy to spare, I feel better. Since I feel better, I want to keep feeling better, which means I’m making food at home again! Big kitchen renovations might be nice, but they’re also costly in both time and money, not to mention patience. Instead of thinking big, focus on finding the small areas where you’re losing energy unnecessarily. It might be a squeaky oven door, or a stove that doesn’t always light. It might be one cabinet knob that’s a different color from all the others, or the rattle in the ceiling fan. All those things are taking up your energy, one little drop at a time, until you don’t have anything left.

Think of it like this: You get a kiddie pool full of energy every day, and throughout the day, you empty it. You can drain it with a bucket or with a medicine cup, but either way it’s losing water - and you’re losing energy. The problem with the medicine cup, the tiny little drips of energy, is that we often don’t notice how much we’re losing. It’s easier to notice a bucket being removed, but after dozens of medicine-cup-sized losses, it starts to add up.

The goal of this workbook is to stop the small drips of energy lost. When you’re not losing energy bit by bit, you start to keep more of it to use on things you care about. After a while, you notice you have enough energy to think about handling the buckets. You feel better. You’re more patient, kinder, a better friend. You have energy to spare for others, and for yourself. Your home stops being another job and becomes a sanctuary. Your kitchen makes you sigh with relief and joy.

If you’re wondering, “But how do I know this workbook is for me?” ask yourself if the following statements are true for you.

  1. You are ready to feel in control of your organization.

If you’re dancing on the table shouting, “YES,” this is absolutely for you. As a neurodivergent person, I absolutely love this system because it takes the guess-work out of organizing and makes it feel intuitive and natural. If you have struggled with the traditional organizing wisdom but want your space to feel functional and sustainable, I hear you, and that’s exactly what this workbook is for.

2. You want to LOVE spending time in your kitchen.

If you feel like your kitchen is alive and plotting against you, this workbook is for you. There is hope! You don’t have to feel like you and your kitchen are working at cross purposes. By changing a few simple things about the way your kitchen is organized and the way you use the space, you can work with your kitchen instead of against it. Your kitchen should work for you, not the other way around. And when it does, it’ll be one of your favorite places in the house.

3. You’re willing to change it up to get the results you want.

If you know that you haven’t been getting the results you want with other methods but you’re committed to having the home of your dreams, this is the resource you’ve been waiting for. By making small but sustainable changes, you can have a kitchen you can’t wait to brag about… and more importantly, one you can’t wait to spend time in.
